Privacy Policy

Effective October 29, 2026

The Everbead app collects no data. There is no account, no server, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. What you enter stays on your iPhone and in your own iCloud.

What the app keeps, and where

To work, the app saves what you enter. This includes:

• your plan for each urge moment
• your night check-ins, including slips
• the word you write for a night
• the urges you log and what set them off
• your reminder time and settings

All of it is stored on your iPhone. If iCloud is on, Apple also keeps a copy in your own iCloud account, so it comes back on a new iPhone. It goes only from your iPhone to your iCloud. We never receive it, and we can’t see it.

To keep it on your iPhone only, turn off iCloud for Everbead in iPhone Settings → your name → iCloud.

The widget

The lock screen widget shows your number of clean days. The app saves that number in a space on your iPhone that only the app and its widget can read.

Reminders

Reminders are set on your iPhone. Nothing is sent from a server. Their words never say what the app is for, because other people may see your screen.

Face ID

If you turn on the lock, iOS checks your face or passcode. The app only learns whether it worked. It never sees your face data.

Links to other services

The app links to outside help: a therapist search on Psychology Today, the SAMHSA National Helpline and the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. When you open one, that service’s own privacy policy applies.

Sharing

We don’t sell, share or rent any data, because we don’t have any. The app has no third-party code that collects data.

Deleting your data

In the app, go to Settings → Erase All Data. If your subscription has ended, tap Erase All Data at the bottom of the subscribe screen. This deletes everything the app keeps, on your iPhone and in iCloud, and starts setup again.

Deleting the app deletes the data on your iPhone, but not the copy in iCloud. To delete that copy, go to iPhone Settings → your name → iCloud → Storage, and choose Everbead.

Age

Everbead is meant for adults aged 18 and over.

This website

This site uses no cookies and no analytics. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes basic request data, such as your IP address, to deliver and protect the site. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Email sign-up

If you sign up on this site, your email address joins the newsletter of Aditya Singh, who makes Everbead. You get an email when Everbead is out, and the newsletter’s other emails too. Your address is stored by Buttondown, the service that sends them. See Buttondown’s privacy policy. We don’t share your address or use it for anything else. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will post the new version here with a new date.
